New Generation Toyota Fortuner: A Benchmark Updated
The iconic Fortuner is getting a generational update, with test mules hinting at design changes inspired by the ninth generation Hilux’s front fascia, known as the ‘Cybersumo’ face. While the side profile may remain similar, the rear end will feature connected LED tail lamps and a revised bumper.
The new Fortuner aims to enhance the cabin experience with improved materials and additional features, including an all-digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment system. It is expected to retain its proven IMV platform, with powertrain options likely to include 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel engines, along with a 48V mild hybrid variant. A 2.4L turbo-petrol hybrid could also be in the works.
Volkswagen Tayron (Non-R Line): Value Meets Comfort
Following the launch of the athletic Tayron R-Line, Volkswagen plans to introduce a non-R Line variant focused on value and comfort. This version will offer similar performance but with simplified features, powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 202 hp and 320 Nm.
Design-wise, it will have subtle changes, ensuring a more relaxed yet stylish SUV experience.
