7 Seat Electric Cars Launching In 2026

Seven-seater vehicles are gaining popularity in India, both among ICE and EV models. Here’s a look at three upcoming 7-seat electric UVs expected to launch this year:
VinFast MPV7
The Vietnamese brand VinFast, with 50 dealerships in India, is introducing its third vehicle, the VF MPV7. Already available globally, bookings are open and the official launch is scheduled for April 15, 2026.

- Boxy design maximizing interior space
- 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display
- Leatherette seats in black-and-brown theme
- Automatic climate control
- Reverse parking camera and sensors
- 60.14 kWh battery pack (201 bhp, 280 Nm) for a claimed range of around 450 km
VinFast Limo Green: A fleet-oriented version targeted at India’s ride-hailing market, expected to be launched alongside the MPV7 with simpler features and a more basic design.
Tata Safari EV
Tata is set to launch an electric version of its popular Safari SUV around the festive season this year. This will be Tata’s first three-row electric vehicle.

- Retained ICE-era design elements
- EV-specific alloy wheels and badging
- Premium cabin features: leatherette upholstery, memory function, panoramic sunroof, seat ventilation
- Option of 65 kWh or 75 kWh battery packs
- Both RWD and AWD configurations available
