New KTM RC450 Twin Cylinder Sportsbike Makes A Whopping 56 Bhp

The Austrian motorcycle manufacturing giant KTM has unveiled the long-awaited KTM RC 450 in China, a super impressive sportsbike packing a massive 56 bhp. This new model marks KTM’s entry into the twin-cylinder 450cc supersport category.
Key Features:
- Engine: Boasts a 449cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft, delivering better torque and a distinctive exhaust note.
- Power & Performance: Generates 56 bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission, featuring a slipper and assist clutch, and a load-sensitive quickshifter.
- Top Speed: Achieves a maximum speed of 195 kmph with a strong power-to-weight ratio.
- Design & Chassis: Inspired by the RC 990, it shares components with CFMoto models but offers higher power, lower weight, and distinct tuning.
Electronics & Features:
- Equipped with Bosch electronics, including lean-angle-sensitive ABS, traction control, ride modes, cruise control, and a quickshifter.
- Features a TFT screen, optional heated grips, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Pricing & Availability (China):
The KTM RC 450 is priced at CNY 34,999 (approximately Rs 4.7 lakh).
India Release:
While the current model is China-specific, KTM India is developing a new 450cc twin-cylinder platform for global markets, including India and Europe, slated for launch around 2027.
