Why I Removed My 2Create Courses & More Updates!
Hey everyone! It’s been a while since we last "seen" each other. I wanted to give you an update on some changes and insights.
What’s New?
-
2Create Courses Update: You might have noticed that many of my 2Create courses are now private. Since my dad fell ill in March, I realized I couldn’t dedicate time to supporting students across two websites. PSP (my primary focus) and a private student group demanded all my attention. So, I made the decision to set the courses to "private" to prevent new enrollments.
-
Reevaluating My Focus: After things settled down personally, I had to be honest with myself. I wasn’t actively promoting or marketing my website building and marketing skills, relying instead on my podcast to promote PSP courses. While I’ve had around 500 students enroll in my PSP courses, I could have done better with more marketing efforts.
-
My Love for T-Shirt Design: I’ve always loved affiliate marketing and AdSense as rewarding ways to earn online, but print-on-demand (POD) has taken the top spot. Creating t-shirt designs is incredibly fulfilling, especially since I had no design background when I started. My first job taught me Photoshop basics, but it was self-taught over the years. Now, I create intricate art that I never thought possible, and seeing thousands of my designs sell is rewarding beyond words.
Learnings and Warnings:
-
POD for the Right Reasons: The income potential in POD is real, but it’s not for everyone. You need a desire to learn, scale your income, and build a brand for long-term success instead of relying on passive traffic. Remember, even talented designers must understand keywords and niches. The competition is fierce!
-
My Personal Journey: I was initially drawn to POD for the money but stayed because I love the creative process. It’s therapeutic, especially during stressful times. My unique ideas have been a significant part of my success, but be prepared for theft. Amazon and other PODs often fail to protect our work, so I use aliases and share my designs sparingly.
